Bracketology Update 1/31/15

Joe Lunardi will be doing a weekly Saturday article with his “Bracket Math” and then he’ll breakdown the weekend’s most important games with teams that would be “In With a Win”, “Out Without” and who has the “Most at Stake” which could describe a team that would lose any chance of getting into the NCAA Tournament or just a team whose seeding could be affected by a win or loss.

Lunardi identified St. John’s as being in with a win against Providence today and the Seton Hall/Xavier game was on with the most at stake.

The 2015 Bracket Matrix

BracketMatrix.com is a very informative site and I think it adds value to the bracketology discussion so I’ll be featuring a section in these bracketology updates with information like average seed, number of brackets Providence appears in and a few other things. The appeal of BracketMatrix.com is that they are sort of like a composite bracket.

  • Bracket Matrix Average Seed for Providence: 6.18
  • Numbers of Brackets Providence appears in: 76/76
  • Best Seed: 3
  • Worst Seed: 11
