Joe Lunardi has updated his bracket through action on Friday night and he still has 6 Big East teams in with half of those teams on the 6 line. Villanova made a big move from the 4th 1 seed to the 2nd 1 seed with the losses of Virginia and Duke in the ACC semifinals last night. The biggest thing for Villanova is they are now locked into a 1 seed even with a loss tonight in the Big East Tournament finals. If they win they get to stay in the East region and that would be nice for their fans.

Here is a breakdown of where the 6 Big East teams fall on the seed lines Lunardi’s latest bracket:

• Villanova – #1 seed in East vs. #16 Lafayette – AQ for Big East
• Georgetown- #6 seed in East vs. #11 Texas
• Butler- #6 seed in Midwest vs. #11 Indiana/LSU
• Providence – #6 seed in West vs. #11 Temple
• Xavier – #7 seed in West vs. #10 Purdue
• St. John’s – #9 seed in Midwest vs. #8 Cincinnati
