Eric Paschall Cuts List to Final 5, Will Visit Providence

Update 4/17: Jon Rothstein is reporting that Paschall will not visit Providence this weekend as planned.

Fordham freshman has cut his final list of schools down to 5, including the school he is currently enrolled at in Fordham. The others on the list are Florida, Kansas, Providence and Villanova. Paschall has visited Villanova and Florida and is scheduled to visit Providence this weekend, per a tweet from Jon Rothstein.

Paschall’s father Juan told me last week that no decision would be made before he and his son visited Providence. It remains to be seen if a visit will be scheduled with Kansas as they are the only school on the list that Paschall has not visited since announcing that he got permission to contact other schools following the firing of Tom Pecora at Fordham. Paschall was reportedly given permission to more than 12 schools on a list.

A few hours prior to Paschall announcing his final 5 there was a report from Kevin Brockway of GatorSports.com that makes it sound like Paschall is down to just Florida and Providence.

Paschall was the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year this season and will have to sit out the 2015-16 season, per NCAA transfer rules should he opt to transfer. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining after that and will only turn 19 this November.
