There were no games of significance for RPI boostability last night for the Friars. PC’s RPI is now at 50 (was 50).

A new portion of this daily post will include the 10 teams with the biggest impact (5 positive plus PC themseleves, 5 negative) on PC’s RPI. This value is via RPI Forecast. For an explanation of this value, click here.

#pcbb Opening Line: PC +4.5 at Georgetown 2/10/14

Line opened with Providence as a 4.5 point underdog. My numbers (not inclusive of home court advantage, etc) have Providence as about a 4 point favorite so there is more going on here than just home court. The Friars need this one tomorrow night.

Rapid Reaction: Friars Fall on the Road

It was a bit of a slugfest throughout and the surprise of the day was Josh Fortune but the Friars fell on the road at Xavier. Cotton wasn’t able to get much going today and there were scoring droughts by both teams. Some key turnovers and empty possessions by PC did them in at the end. This wasn’t a must win game but it was pretty close. I believed they needed to go at least 1-1 on this road trip so Monday in DC not becomes a big game.

Final: Providence 53 Xavier 59
