Camp Errol was founded by Calvin Jones and named in honor of Errol Clinton who was killed at the age of 15 by a random act of violence in the city of Providence. E.R.R.O.L. stands for Education, Respect, Responsibility, Opportunity and Leadership. This Saturday Camp Errol will be hosting an All-Star game at CCRI Warwick and there will be several Providence recruits playing, including top local targets in the Class of 2018.

Providence’s Season is Over but Recruiting Never Stops
Providence’s season ended a week ago today. That doesn’t mean the Friar coaching staff is sitting back and resting. Providence has two committed players coming to campus for the 2017-18 season in big men Dajour Dickens and Nate Watson. Dickens has been committed since February 2016 and Watson pledged to Cooley in September but don’t be surprised if Providence adds a player in April, May or even June.

Scout’s Updated Class of 2018 Top 100 Player Rankings Released
The updated player rankings from Scout.com continue and this week they updated their Class of 2018 rankings. Providence has a host of players on this list ranging from a local Providence native to a Canadian player attending school in Florida, not to mention some other local talent attending NEPSAC schools. The coaching staff at Providence has a clear connection in the mid-atlantic with Jeff Battle and Ivan Thomas spearheading connections there with both Boo Williams players and other area programs. Providence to Host 2017 Greg Elliott for Official Visit
Corey Evans of Rivals.com tweeted on Monday evening that Providence is expected to host 2017 East English Village (Detroit) guard Greg Elliott this upcoming weekend for an official visit. This news comes a week after an interview with Elliott at Landof10.com in which Elliott indicated Providence would be getting one of his three remaining official visits. Evans also reported that Elliott will visit Marquette the following weekend, which is the final weekend of the Big East regular season with all ten schools in action on that Saturday.

Positive Returns from 2017 Daniel Mading’s Official Visit to Providence
Providence hosted 2017 Daniel Mading last week from Wednesday through Friday for an official visit. Mading is a one-time Arizona State commit who re-opened his recruitment in June of 2016. Providence was one of the first schools to contact him after that and the Friars hosted him for his first of five available official visits last week. Mading is also scheduled to take an official visit to Texas Tech this upcoming weekend. Mading’s AAU coach and trainer, Brandon Howell, told pcbb1917.com that “Daniel had a great visit to Providence College.”

Providence to Host 2017 Daniel Mading for Official Visit
Providence has been mentioned with some 2017 guard prospects over the last couple of weeks and now the Friars are reportedly hosting a 2017 big man for an official visit this week. Just after 7pm on Monday night, Russ Wood of Rivals.com reported that Daniel Mading will take an official visit to Providence from February 1st through February 3rd. Wood also reported that Mading plans to take an official visit to Texas Tech from February 11th through February 13th.
