2015 NCAA Tournament Tip Times and Announcer Pairings

CBS/Turner released the tip times and announcer pairings for the 2015 NCAA Tournament. I’m sure Providence fans will love the fact that Doug Gottlieb will be doing the analysis of their Second Round game in Columbus. Gottlieb will be joined by Ian Eagle who will do the play-by-play and Evan Washburn who will handle the sideline reporting duties.

Providence Draws 6 Seed in East Region; Will Play Either Dayton or Boise State

The Providence Friars will make their 17th NCAA Tournament appearance on Friday, March 20th in Columbus, Ohio. The Friars were seeded 6th and will take on the winner of an 11 seed play-in game between Dayton and Boise State. Providence is 14-17 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and will be making their first back-to-back trip since 1990. I’ll have a more in-depth preview during the week once the true opponent is known but here is some information for you to get to know about each team.

What You Need to Know About Dayton

  • Season Record: 25-8
  • Conference: Atlantic 10
  • RPI: 32
  • Kenpom: 40

What You Need to Know About Boise State

  • Season Record: 23-8
  • Conference: Mountain West
  • RPI: 40
  • Kenpom: 39

pcbb1917 Final Selection Sunday Bracket Projection

Big East Bracketology Update 3/15/15

Joe Lunardi’s latest Selection Sunday bracket and “Bracket Math” are out Sunday morning. Within the Big East the only real movement since yesterday is that Butler falls off the 6 line and the Bulldogs are now a 7 seed. There’s also an intriguing potential matchup for Providence and an old head coach of theirs. One other thing to check out below is that, per a suggestion on Twitter, I have included the percentage of teams in the field from each conference in the “Conference Breakdown” portion of this post.
