You will notice there is a new menu option on the top menu called “Statistics”. There will be a box score from each of Providence’s games this season there and eventually I am planning on getting some of the more notable all-time statistics up on the site as well.

Grade Providence’s Non-Conference Performance

The Friars finished the non-conference portion of their schedule on December 22nd by beating the Miami Hurricanes, 76-62, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. That win makes 4 straight in the left side of the column to finish with a 10-3 record in non-conference play.

How would you grade Providence’s performance during the non-conference portion of their 2014-15 schedule?

Dunn, Henton Lead Providence Victory over Miami in Brooklyn

Kris Dunn continued his fantastic play in Brooklyn as he looks more and more like the McDonald’s All-American that he was coming out of New London. Dunn looked at ease on this NBA floor and finished the game with 15 points, 13 assists and 5 rebounds.

Joining Dunn in continuing the good play was LaDontae Henton who came alive in the second half and finished the game as the high scorer with 25 points while adding 5 rebounds. Two ACC transfers also had good games as Carson Desrosiers was solid down low with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Tyler Harris came off the bench for the second straight game and he played well getting a couple of quick buckets in the first half and then playing a good portion of the second half minutes, finishing the game with 13 points.

National Polls

National Polls Update: Week 7

The Friars have righted the ship since the Brown loss by winning their 3rd straight game on Saturday but as I predicted it wouldn’t have enough juice to garner any votes in either poll. Prior to Miami’s horrible loss by 28 points at home against Eastern Kentucky Monday’s game against the Hurricanes on a neutral court in Brooklyn would have been a chance for a top 25 win but the Hurricanes have fallen out of both polls this week.
