Ben Bentil Will Test NBA Draft Waters, Not Sign With Agent

In more not-so-surprising news, Providence sophomore Ben Bentil will put his hat in the ring for the 2016 NBA Draft, per a report from Evan Daniels of Scout.com. The move shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone after Bentil had a breakout sophomore campaign that garnered him First Team All-Big East honors and the league’s Most Improved Player Award. Bentil will not hire an agent, per the report. The report was confirmed by Bentil via his own Twitter account.

2016 Corey Manigault Expected to Get Release from Pitt, Friars Likely to be Involved

On Monday, it was reported that Jamie Dixon would be mutually parting ways with Pittsburgh and that Dixon would be named the new head coach at TCU, his alma mater. The move comes as the annual coaching carousel is heating up across the country. Coaches changes are now a viable sector of college basketball recruiting and with Providence in need of size in their frontcourt, Ed Cooley will be looking at all avenues to fill that void.

NCAA Tournament 2016: Second Round Tip Times, TV Schedule and Announcer Pairings in Providence

Many Providence basketball season ticket holders opted to buy tickets to the NCAA Tournament’s First and Second Rounds being played at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center this year. While the committee wasn’t able to ensure that the Friar are playing on the opposite day that their home site is hosting games, there will be plenty of time to watch action at the Dunk before Providence and UNC tip off in Raleigh at close to 10pm EDT on Saturday night. There are also some marquee names for fans to see at the Dunk that are unlikely to be there to take on the Friars. Here are the games, tip times, TV schedule and announcer pairings for the Second Round games being played in Providence.
