Television Listings for Providence vs. Brown 11/21/15

Game 3 of the 2015-16 season is another one airing only on regional Fox Sports Networks. Being a game played between two teams from the state of Rhode Island means the national reach won’t be great.

These are the networks that will be airing the game. Check your local listings to confirm. You can click on any network name with a link for a channel finder based on your zip code and TV provider:

A special note for Comcast customers about YES Network: Comcast has dropped YES Network

The game will NOT be available via the Fox Sports GO app but check in with FriarTV as he usually always has at least the Rooke/Hassett audio and most of the time has at least one option for the video feed.

Notes:

  • Providence did not have a great overall game from Kris Dunn but he made some big plays down the stretch.
  • Ben Bentil carried a lot of the scoring load and had a double-double
  • Kyron Cartwright had a nice first half. He injured his knee in the second half and went to the locker room for a short stint but returned to the game.
  • Jalen Lindsey dressed for the game and got some action off the bench after missing the opener for a violation of team policy.
  • Friars return to action Saturday against Brown at the Dunk.

Kris Dunn on First Release of Wooden Award Watch List

The national attention continues for Kris Dunn. Dunn, who scored  a career high 32 points while grabbing a career high 8 steals in Providence’s season opening win against Harvard, has been named to the 50 player first release of the Wooden Award watch list. The Wooden Award — named after legendary UCLA coach John Wooden — is given annually to the nation’s top player and this is the first release of the watch list of players that are considered potential winners. Dunn is joined on the list by fellow Big East brethren Jalen Brunson (Villanova), Kellen Dunham (Butler) and D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera (Georgetown).
