Kris Dunn Named Inaugural 2015-16 Big East Player of the Week

Now that actual games have gotten underway the accolades coming Kris Dunn’s way are ones he will earn on the court during this season instead of the ones labeled “preseason”. The first such
“in-season” accolade came on Monday when the Big East announced their weekly award winners. Dunn was named the season’s first Big East Player of the Week for his career-high 32 point performance in Providence’s win over Harvard on Saturday.

Opening Line: Providence -10 vs. Harvard 11/14/15

Providence opens the 2015-16 season at home against Harvard on Saturday at 7pm. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Networks. Click here to see what channel that might be for you. The Crimson were an NCAA Tournament team last season but they lose 5 seniors from that team, including leading scorer Wesley Saunders. Tommy Amaker’s bunch also took another hit this summer when leading returning scorer and assist-man Siyani Chambers tore his ACL. All of the above leads people to think the Crimson will have a down year in the Ivy League.

Vegas seems to agree, at least based on what this line is against a largely inexperienced Providence team.

Opening Line: Providence -10

Stay tuned for updates as the line moves.
