June 15th at 12:00am marks the first time that coaches can directly contact members of the class of 2017 — rising high school juniors. The Friars have a commitment in the class of 2017 already with Javon Taylor verbally pledging to Cooley at Providence’s elite camp in August of 2014. With Taylor on the books Providence currently has 2 open scholarships for the class of 2017 that number is likely to change with the transfer epidemic that is happening around college basketball.
