Providence Gatherings and Gamewatches: 2017 NCAA Tournament First Four Edition

In Dayton for the NCAA Tournament and looking for a place to meet up with other Providence fans before tonight’s game? Providence Athletics is hosting a pre-game meet-up and team send-off at the team hotel:

Pre-Game reception at Tradewinds Room of the Dayton Marriott

Friartown is coming to Dayton, OH. All alumni, fans and friends are invited to join the Friars at the Dayton Marriott for a pre-game reception in the Tradewinds room of the hotel located on the main level.

The pre-game reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is complimentary. Food and a cash bar will be available.  Following the reception, all fans are invited to join the PC Pep Band and Cheerleaders in the lobby of the hotel as we send the team off to the arena at 7 p.m.

All Friar Fans are welcome to join us in New York City at Mustang Harry’s before and after each Friar game during BIG EAST Tournament Week March 8-11 for an informal meet up! Mustang Harry’s will serve as Providence College’s headquarters during the tournament.​​​

If you cannot attend the games in person or join fellow fans at one of the game-watch events, here’s the television schedule:

Basketball

  • Friday’s game will be on TNT, with the broadcast scheduled to begin at 7:20 p.m.
  • Sunday’s broadcast schedule has not yet been announced.

Hockey

  • Friday’s Hockey East semifinal, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. face-off, will be on NBC Sports Network and NESN Plus.
  • The Saturday 7:00 p.m. Hockey East championship game will also be on NBC Sports Network and NESN Plus.
  • The NCAA Hockey Tournament Selection Show is scheduled for Sunday at 12 noon on ESPNU.
