There can be some good matchups that materialize and players who make a name for themselves while in Charlottesville. ESPN updated their class of 2016 rankings on Tuesday with a fresh top 100, which is an expansion from the previous top 60 for the class. They plan to release the expanded class of 2017 top 60 on Wednesday and debut the class of 2018 top 25 on Thursday. Scout.com just released their updated 2016 top 100 on Friday last week.
Providence currently has 2 open scholarships to use in the class of 2016, barring a commitment from a big man prior to the start of next season. It is also highly likely that Kris Dunn’s scholarship will open up after this season as he is almost guaranteed to leave for the NBA.
