Eric Bossi over at Rivals.com released his updated ranking for the Class of 2015 today. There are a number of PC recruits/targets within the top 150 but one noticeable snub was 2015 commit Ryan Fazekas. I have a feeling he will be in the top 150 after the AAU season finishes though. He has been trending up ever since committing to PC in October.
There is a charity all-star game being held Saturday at 5pm at East Greenwich HS. You can see the details and rosters below the video but this is a great cause and there will be a good number of PC recruiting targets participating. $10 admission at the door.
At 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 (5pm) many of New England’s top high school basketball prospects will come together at East Greenwich (R.I.) High School for the first annual 2eZ All-Star Game, The $10 admission will benefit event for Meeting Street School student Jake Downey.
The money raised will go directly to Jake Downey, a loving 11-year-old boy and the son of beloved teacher and coach at East Greenwich High, Bob Downey. Jake was born with congenital hydrocephalus, which caused brain injury and several serious medical complications. Jake is unable to walk and requires complete assistance for all his daily needs and care. Jake attends The Meeting Street School with many other kids like him that thrive each day with their special abilities. Through the all-star game money will be raised for a handicap van that will improve the daily life of Jake and his family, along with a donation to the Meeting Street School.
A dunk contest will prelude the all-star game. Here are the rosters, named with a “Space Jam” theme:

Kevin Farrahar and NERR have some great recaps of the weekend’s action in the NEPSAC playoffs. Cooley and staff were in attendance on Sunday for the Cushing and Brewster games but they weren’t there for the Cushing semifinal game on Friday night which makes me wonder if they are still in the running for Jalen Adams who is in the process of blowing up nationally. It’s clear the PC staff is making Donovan Mitchell their priority in 2015 and they also appear to still be very interested in Devonte’ Graham despite not being able to speak to him until May and not knowing if he will even be eligible to play next year or not. Mitchell won the MVP of the AAA group and Graham made some savvy and winning plays down the stretch.
The playoffs are upon us in the NEPSAC! There are a bunch of Friar recruits and targets in the NEPSAC and seeing them play in crunch time and win or go home games is a great tool to find out more about them as players. You can be sure that Coach Cooley and staff will attend more than a few of these games over the 3 days of the tournament. Click here to view the full brackets and click here for a preview article from NERR.
Here is a list of Friar recruits/targets that Coach Cooley and staff will keep an eye on:
For those recruiting fanatics out there: Devonte Graham (2014), Donovan Mitchell (2015) and Brewster Academy take on Tilton today at 4pm. Link to watch the game live below.
Fantastic job as always by the guys at FriarBasketball.com. Kevin Farrahar and Craig Leighton give their thoughts on the weekend’s action by ranking the top 3 performers of the weekend, describing how some of PC’s targets fared, talking about who else impressed them, giving their pick for who they want to end up at PC the most of all players in attendance (coincidence they both picked PC recruits? Cooley has really changed things in Friartown), identifying a few under the radar prospects and discussing how the talent level this year measured up against prior years. Awesome stuff and a definite must read for recruiting junkies.
