Friartown Fan Voice Podcast – Episode 2 – 10/23/15

Episode 2 of the pcbb1917.com Friartown Fan Voice podcast is live. In this episode I touch on some of the remaining 2016 big man names on the recruiting front, go over the results of the Big East Media Day awards and preseason coaches’ poll, touch on the upcoming season and finish with some questions from you, the fans.

This should be available in iTunes so keep an eye out for that so you can subscribe and be automatically notified when a new episode is uploaded. I’m planning on doing one more preseason podcast the week right before the first game against Harvard and will give an in-depth preview of the non-conference schedule.

You can submit your own questions and comments that could be answered on a future podcast by calling the Friartown Fan Voice podcast voicemail line at 516-500-PCBB or 516-500-7222, emailing me at mhopkins@pcbb1917.com, tweeting at me @pcbb1917, commenting on the Facebook page or directly in the comments section of this post.

Goodman released his list of all these scrimmages on Thursday. Continue reading Providence to Scrimmage Northeastern Behind Closed Doors

Providence held their Late Night Madness event over the weekend and there was an impressive turnout of recruits in attendance. Among them were a pair of 2016 big men in Sedee Keita and Isaiah Whaley. Keita is a known target that the Friar coaching staff has been chasing hard for awhile now. Whaley is a name many Friar fans may not have heard. Jeff Battle began expressing interest in Whaley back in June but the Friars didn’t offer until this weekend. The Friars offered another big man on Monday in Serbian Nik Popovic and they are reported to have interest in Sudanese big man Gorjok Gak. More on all and more below.

Doors open at 6pm for those students with season tickets and all other students can enter at 6:45pm. The event is open only to Providence College students. Ludacris will perform around 9pm. Cox Hub will have free live streaming of Late Night Madness from 8pm-9pm.
