Providence to Host 2017 Greg Elliott for Official Visit

Corey Evans of Rivals.com tweeted on Monday evening that Providence is expected to host 2017 East English Village (Detroit) guard Greg Elliott this upcoming weekend for an official visit. This news comes a week after an interview with Elliott at Landof10.com in which Elliott indicated Providence would be getting one of his three remaining official visits. Providence Keeping NCAA Tournament Hopes Alive

With wins over two of the top Big East teams in their last two games Providence is keeping their NCAA Tournament hopes afloat, at least for the time being. The Big East is projected to get 4 or 5 teams in the NCAA Tournament this season and Providence is fighting with Georgetown, Marquette and Seton Hall to likely be that 5th team. Providence Basketball Monday Hangover News and Notes 2/13/17

Happy Monday, Friar fans! While some of you may be nursing an Alumni & Family Weekend hangover I’ll do my best to give you some news and notes from around the Providence basketball world to get you caught up on the on-court product and recent recruiting tidbits. Obviously Saturday’s win was a big one against 22nd-ranked Butler in front of a sold-out crowd at the Dunk, but the Friars still have a lot of work left to do if they want to keep dancing in March for a fourth straight season.
