Review of Last Night’s Action

There were 2 games yesterday that could help boost the Friars’ RPI. The results were 2-0. Brown defeated Penn at home, 75-69. Yale blew out Princeton, 81-60, in New Haven.

Providence Resume Review 2/27/15

Providence appears to be safely on their way to a repeat trip to the Blue Carpet for the first time since they appeared in the 1989 and 1990 NCAA Tournament fields. They lost their first game in both of those years. That’s something Ed Cooley and this crew will be looking to change this year. I’ll be doing regular examinations of Providence’s NCAA Tournament resume as the regular season winds down.

This week I’ll also be doing some blind resumes to compare to Providence because that always seems fun. Let’s get started.

Providence RPI Update 2/26/15

Review of Last Night’s Action

There were 6 games yesterday that could help boost the Friars’ RPI. The results were 3-3. UMass fell on the road at St. Joe’s, 82-71. Albany went on the road and got their 20th win of the season by defeating UMBC, 67-49. Kentucky improved to 28-0 with their road win at Mississippi State, 74-56. URI made a furious comeback at home against Davidson but the Rams fell short by 1, 60-59. Stony Brook took care of UMass-Lowell at home, 75-60. Navy struggled for just 17 first half points on the road at American and the 17 point halftime deficit ended in a 19 point loss, 68-49.

Review of Last Night’s Action

There were 2 games yesterday that could help boost the Friars’ RPI in addition to their game at Villanova. The results were 0-2. Notre Dame fell on the road at the Carrier Dome to the postseason-banned Syracuse Orange, 65-60. Boston College also fell on the road in ACC play at Pittsburgh, 71-65.
