The NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest “Phog Allen” and the main purpose of the organization is “to further the best interests of the game of basketball as well as the players and coaches who participate in the sport.” The NABC founded such programs as Coaches vs. Cancer, Reese’s College All-Star Game, which LaDontae Henton participated in back in 2015, and is involved in governance of NCAA basketball at all three levels.
