Pre-game Meetup at Mustang Harry’s for Those in NYC Tonight #pcbb
Fellow Friars will be meeting up at Mustang Harry’s, 352 7th Avenue (30th St), before the big game tonight at Madison Square Garden. This is an informal gathering to start the celebration. Let’s try to get there around 5:30 p.m. Pass it on to anyone you know in town.

#pcbb Opening Line: PC -1.5 vs Seton Hall 3/14/14
Line opened with Providence as a 1.5 point favorite. The line has since moved to -2 and even -2.5 in some places. I’d expect it to settle around -2 by tip time. Kenpom sees the final score as 70-67 in favor of the Friars. I’ll have game notes and a preview going up at 12pm today.

Line opened with Providence as a 5.5 point underdog which isn’t all that shocking since this is a home game for the Johnnies. Kenpom sees the final score as 71-65 in favor of St. John’s.

Bracketology Update 3/10/14 #pcbb
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi came out with his new bracket today and he has PC as the 3rd of the “First Four Out” category. Lunardi currently has a total of 3 Big East teams in -Villanova, Creighton and Xavier – with SJU and PC in the “First Four Out” and Georgetown in the “Next Four Out” category.
CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm came out with his new bracket last night at 9:26pm. He has PC in the tournament as a 12 seed in a First Round play in game against Tennessee in the South Region. Palm also has Villanova, Creighton and Xavier in but lists Georgetown in his last four out while not listing St. John’s.
