Providence Non-Conference Schedule Update

On Sunday night, the Providence Journal’s Kevin McNamara reported that Ed Cooley is “putting the finishing touches on a schedule “that may be too hard” and features home games against Rhode Island and Massachusetts, a trip to preseason No. 1-ranked Kentucky, a return to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for a game against Miami, and games against Florida State and Notre Dame in the Hall of Fame Tip-off at Mohegan Sun casino.”

This morning Jon Rothstein tweeted that the Miami game will be part of a doubleheader with Manhattan vs. Fordham and will be played on 12/22/14. This confirms a previous report from John Rooke who hinted at this last week.

How #pcbb Can Boost Their RPI Today 1/30/14

Last night’s results were 5-2 with Vermont, BC, Vandy, Maine and Maryland winning and UMass and LaSalle losing. PC’s RPI is now at 43 (was 42). UMass losing likely knocks them out of the top 25.

Only 1 opportunity tonight for PC to make some RPI moves (aside from taking care of their own business against Marquette).
