March is here and conference tournaments are either underway already or about to be underway this week. The buzzer beaters and Cinderella stories are both good reasons why college basketball in March is awesome, but another large factor is…gambling. Obviously gambling should only be done where legal by those who are allowed to partake. Having said that, here are odds for who will win the 2016 Big East Tournament, you know, for entertainment purposes.

Opening Line: (14) Providence -14.5 vs. Rider 12/19/15

The Friars welcome Rider to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Saturday night for Providence’s final home game of 2015 and final home game of the non-conference schedule. The Broncs are 2-8 entering this game with wins over Houston Baptist and Charleston Southern and one of their 8 losses being in blowout fashion down the road against Rhode Island in late November. Providence opened as a 14.5 point favorite over Rider in this one. Kris Dunn and Ben Bentil are expected to play, though Ryan Fazekas remains out of commission with mono.

Opening Line: (15) Providence -21.5 vs. Bryant 12/12/15

The Friars welcome in-state rival Bryant to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and will get the sweep of Division 1 Rhode Island colleges on their schedule after blowing out Brown and beating Rhody at the buzzer. Providence has opened as a 21.5 point favorite over Bryant for this Saturday matinee affair at the Dunk, despite the Friars likely being down 3 starters with Dunn (illness), Bentil (ankle) and Fazekas (mono) doubtful. The Friars are 6-3 ATS this season. Bryant is 0-2 ATS this season.

Opening Line: (15) Providence -15.5 vs. Boston College 12/9/15

The Friars welcome Boston College to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and will look to avenge last season’s loss at the Conte Forum. Providence was a 2.5 point favorite last season and lost the game by 9 on the road. The line is a bit larger this year and the Eagles are trying to overcome a possible E. Coli virus outbreak among 10 team members from some bad burritos at Chipotle. Providence has opened as a 15.5 point favorite over Boston College. The Friars are 5-3 ATS this season. Boston College is 1-4 ATS this season.

UPDATE 5:05pm, 12/9/15: The line has been taken off the board pretty much everywhere, likely due to the uncertainty about who will be able to play for BC after the norovirus outbreak and Eli Carter’s sprained ankle.

UPDATE 1:30pm, 12/8/15: The line has moved to Providence +16.

The Friars will travel down 95 South for their first true road game of the 2015-16 season on Saturday night against the Rhode Island Rams at the Ryan Center. Providence has opened as a road dog for this game despite being ranked in the top 25. The Friars are 4-3 ATS this season and the total has gone Under 4 times out of 7. Rhode Island is 2-3 ATS this season and the total has gone Under 3 times out of 5.

Providence opened as an underdog again for the championship of the Wooden Legacy Tournament. Providence is 4-2 ATS this season. The undefeated Michigan State Spartans are 4-1 ATS this season.
