December 23rd means it’s Festivus and — as is tradition — Festivus begins with the Airing of Grievances. I got some good responses on Twitter that I’ll share below but also will give you my list of grievances. As Frank Costanza says “I got a lotta problems with you people, and you’re going to hear about it!” I’ll also give you my Feats of Strength from the non-conference schedule and maybe there will be a Festivus miracle to finish things off.
“It’s a Festivus, for the rest of us!”
Airing of Grievances

- Hey, ref! Keep the whistle to yourself!! I know scoring numbers are up across college basketball, but if I have to see another foul called on a bogus hand check call 40 feet from the rim I’m going to lose it!
Feats of Strength
- Kris Dunn’s triple-double vs. Ben Bentil’s 32 point, 12 rebound game. Ready, Go!
Festivus Miracle

- I’d say Providence being 12-1 through the non-conference with wins over top 15 Arizona, at URI at the buzzer and not losing a bad game against a lesser opponent — even when Kris Dunn was out with illness — is a pretty good Festivus miracle!

I’d like to see the cheerleaders teach and lead us in a new college cheer instead of just performing acrobatics.
