Providence Recruiting Update: White Signing Wednesday, Bennett’s Favorite
The early signing period for college basketball begins on Wednesday, November 11th and lasts until November 18th. Providence Recruiting Update: Isaiah Whaley Likes School Spirit, Program Pride at PC
Isaiah Whaley doesn’t remember exactly when Jeff Battle began recruiting him “but he has been recruiting me for awhile,” Whaley told pcbb1917.com this week. Whaley is a 6’9 power forward who hails from Battle’s former home state of North Carolina. Whaley transferred to Evelyn Mack Academy about a month ago following an arrest for petty larceny. Providence Recruiting Update: Friars Showing Interest in Hargrave Big Bennett, Working Hard for Hicks
It’s Day 7,302 of the search for a big man in Providence — at least it feels like its been going on that long. The first game of the basketball season is 10 days away for the Friars but the recruiting season is what is still dominating the discussion among Friar fans. Sedee Keita committed to South Carolina on Tuesday and a day later Nik Popovic pledged to Boston College after returning from a visit to Chestnut Hill over the weekend. There continue to be new names popping up in this recruiting effort and the new guy this week is Iran Bennett.

Thoughts from the Road: 2015-16 Friars Make Dunk Debut Against D2 Stonehill
The “Thoughts from the Road” posts will be back this season and I’m looking forward to getting to write one of these following an actual Providence basketball game that counts. But for now I’ll give you my thoughts from the road after an exhibition matchup against Division II Stonehill that was played at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on October 31st….
